I cannot tell you how excited I am about this one.
I have known Chloë, King Theatre Company’s Artistic Director, for a few years. She was part of Theatre by the Bay’s Indie Producer Co-op and a top student. Her passion project was to start KTC - and it has been incredible watching her, and the company’s growth.
In fact, KTC grew to the point where it was able to put out a call for directors. Having left TBTB, and being inspired by her work, I thought I would throw my hat in the ring. Chloë was thrilled and presented me with a project very close to her heart - the stage adaptation of Alias Grace.
Obviously, I knew Margaret Atwood, but I did not know Alias Grace at all. So it was a pleasure reading it and getting to know its fantastic characters.
We are in the early stages of the process, but things are coming together nicely. We have a great team, an intriguing space, and a lot of interest from the community, which is lovely.
Also, tickets are on sale! Check out the Upcoming tab of my website for more info.
