Intro to Theatre Producing - full course
For eight years, Iain Moggach taught the celebrated Indie Producer Co-op: one of the most intensive and competitive producer training programs in the country. Graduates are working across the country, including at some of the biggest theatre companies such as Stratford, Soulpepper, successfully launched their own companies such as King Theatre Company, and so much more.
Now, Iain has distilled its teachings into a six hour intensive!
In Intro to Theatre Producing, participants will learn the fundamentals such as:
What a Producer is, why the role is important, how to become a producer, and more
Budget and calendar creation including software recommendations
Sponsorship and donor accrual and management
Introduction to grants
Industry best practices and considerations
And more!
This workshop is perfect for people starting out in producing and/or producers who want to make sure their policies and practices are in line with industry standards - whatever the level they may be working at (community, Indie, or professional).
